Picture taking
Ok...has anyone else noticed how obsessed people are getting with taking pictures? And I know I can't be excluded from this group. Maybe I've just really noticed it because of facebook.
Now, I have no problems with taking pictures, but I just see all these kids with their digital cameras taking hundreds of pictures of themselves and posting them. Well, when I was their age I used WIND-UP CAMERAS...bet they don't know how to use one of those...HA!
The other thing that's annoying me is the poses that these girls do. When they take their pictures it's like they don't know how to smile anymore...they do this weird lip pucker thing that really doesn't look hot at all...it just looks like their lips have been horizontally extended by a few inches. Is it just me not in with the new "smiling" trend??? Please let me know if I'm out with the times.
Ok, it's really time for me to get off facebook now *argh...you've distracted me once again!*
The words that jump out
...but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. (James 3: 8-9)I think I should take a vow of silence for a month or two...
Five Things
Okay...So I've taken quite a long break from reading blogs and as I was catching up, I realized that Deb tagged me in her five things...but alas, I was swimming in a sea of school work and was not aware of the pending request...so here it is.Five things that most people don't know about me:1. When I was really little, I shoved a crayon up my nose. It got stuck there and we had to go to the hospital to get it pulled out. I have no memory of this, but my family assures me it happened.2. I can't swim. Well, maybe a lot of people know this. My bones are heavy or dense or something because I CAN NOT stay afloat in water for a long period of time. I have almost drowned 2 times. First was during a church retreat ( I was saved by my sister's friend...it was actually really scary), and the second time was in Toronto. I decided to go to the deep end "riding" on top of my sisters when water splashed up onto my face. I panicked and pushed Miriam and Sarah down under the water. So now both of them are drowning for my sake. Sarah can't handle this and swims away and only Miriam is left to take the burden of my weight. Thankfully, we all survived.3. I'm in love with a guy that my sister (Miriam) worked with last semester in the developmental biology lab. Well, I can't say I'm in love since I've only seen him a total of 2 times, but he is one of the most beautiful people I've seen. AND he's half chinese ;).4. I LOVE to eat cookie dough...or any dough for that matter...even batter from cakes. Even if eggs are in the recipe I will scrape the bowl clean. I swear I've injested over a dozen eggs through this. Gross? Maybe...but it tastes so good!5. I'm scared of getting fat...hmmm...from cookie dough? lol. Actually I was a bit chubby when I was little and I guess I would squat on tables in my diapers and jump on people. My aunt still calls me the "little flying samurai". Again...no recollection of this.
