What was I thinking???
Have you ever bought something at any store and for some reason it looks incredible or feels like the perfect fit at the store, but then you take it home and take another look and think, "Why in the world did I buy this?" or "How did it ever cross my mind that this would be fashionable?"
Well, that happened to me today. For the past few months, I've been on the search for the perfect shoe. I finally got some at Transit last week but they don't quite fit right so I kept looking. Then today I was shopping with my mom and Sarah when I decided to go to Naturalizer. Now, there's nothing wrong with Naturalizer...their shoes are great quality. The only thing (and I totally should have picked up on this) is my mom shops there for shoes. Big warning sirens should have gone off in my mind. That would be like me buying a sweater from Tabi or Norther Reflections...just not so hip.
Anyways, I see this pair of shoes that's 50% off and for some reason when I tried them on, I liked them. They're ugly. Not hideous, but just very plain and old-lady style. Oh my! What was I thinking.
On the left is the fashion-crime committer...nothing wrong with the shoe...but once you see it in real life it sends chills down your spine. On the right is the Transit shoe...I think I'm gonna keep it and just get the leather stretched.I think the heel's the worst part of it...and how it narrows in the front.
Anyways...at least I didn't wear them in public. On Monday Sarah and I decided to rearrange our room! It was about time :). We've been wanting to do it since about the beginning of September. We took before and after pics.
First glance of our room when you first walk in. Very very messy and not much room.
This is me standing in between our two beds and facing the dresser...the cluttered dresser. And our two beds...at least we could face each other while sleeping :).
Sarah's angry because I'd always borrow her bed...I couldn't study or read on mine because it would slide out from the wall (it's on wheels).
THE GAME PLAN!!!
And welcome to our new room!!Yes, much more organizedAnd here's my bed...nicely against the wall and a dresser...no more sliding problems! We're both very happy...as you can see :).
Well, other than that, it's Sarah's birthday today. Happy birthday Sarah!!! You're 21 now...so old! :). I love you very much!
FINISHED!!!
Ahhh...school's finally over. Well, it's been over for a few days but now I'm recovered enough to blog again...haha. It's weird but everyday I feel like there's something that I'm supposed to be doing - a textbook to be reading, a paper to be writing, a test to be studying for. Meh...freedom is sweet :). And we got our Christmas tree today too so it's feeling a bit more like Christmas but a little snow would also be nice!
Here's something I found that GREATLY entertained me while studying through exams.
Ahhh...can anyone say dork? Hahaha! It's what too much studying and not enough sleep does! It's good to be done!
